Coffee Critique: Woodlawn Cycle Cafe

This week I went to a new coffeeshop in Birmingham - Woodlawn Cycle Cafe. Places like Woodlawn Cycle Cafe make me fall in love with Birmingham all over again. This cafe is tucked away in a little pocket of Birmingham I probably would have never ventured otherwise. On my way to the coffeeshop I saw amazing graffiti, drove down streets I had never been down before and found a renewed desire to explore the city.

Woodlawn Cycle Cafe has a great atmosphere. With records playing in the background, stark white white walls and beautiful pentagonal titles - it is the perfect spot. They have limited table seating, so I could see it getting pretty crowded on the weekends (I went in on a Monday afternoon). Luckily, there is additional bar seating by the register.

I ordered a Mocha and it was pretty delicious. The unique mugs just added to the vibes and I was in heaven. I met up with my friend Caroline for my first visit, but I am already anxious to go back with my laptop and headphones to spend a few hours there writing and creating.

I am always adding to my Birmingham Bucket List and it was great to cross this one off. Have any recommendations of a place for my to check out in Birmingham? Tweet me @madisonbmiles!
